amazing how a song can start playing, and you're not really even listening, and all of a sudden it brings up all of these memories you're trying so hard to forget and move on from, but the song just brings it ALL back, and there's nothing you can do, because even if you turn the music off, the tune stays in your head and you can't help but remember the things you tried so hard to move on from...

"Puritanism. The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy." --H.L. Mencken, Chrestomathy (courtesy of fruzsina)
awwwwwwwwwww! it was around this time last year that all of us went to lexi's house and watched movies, and fru and i spent the night, and i introduced fru to the hotness for the first time, and we stayed up until 6:30am and read dr seuss and 'watched' beauty and the beast and lexi scared the crap out of us and tried to kill us and had fun and this is a really long runon sentence! so yay. that was really fun :D

so today was interesting...matthew, emma, rebecca and them came over like always on the day after christmas...just without bob...which was really hard. but matthew's finally grown up into an actual person. well, as much of a person as a 13 yr old boy can be, but it's progress. i'm not really one for traditions, but it's really hard when a tradition you've followed all your life is suddenly changed. traditions are bad. let's do away with them.

studying for us is KILLING MY BRAIN! i just wrote something about the union victory, crossed it out, and wrote viktory. *dies a slow and painful death* and i still don't understand calculus, i'm not GOING to understand calculus, and i need to find my calculator.
ms ellis (talking about alexander hamilton): "he's a very genius"
english notes on romanticism: enthusiasm for the whild
for some reason, studying for US reminds me of the time when i was really little, in kindergarden or first grade or something, and i was over at my grandparents house and we were playing school, or something along those lines. i made a dunce cap out of paper, but being little, i spelled it "dunts" and my grandparents laughed hysterically, and i didn't get it for the longest time. i really didn't understand why they were laughing. it was like, eight years later when i actually figured it out, and i felt exceedingly intelligent. ugh. i'm going to die.
whoah...according to the "true fact" on the inside of my snapple lid, the first human-made object to break the sound barrier was a whip....that's kindof scary if you think about it. (baa WHIP!)

*sigh* alfred died today. very sad. on the other hand, the name alfred has been passed on. alfred crossley poisson. yes, that's right, caitlin and i FINISHED nikki's christmas present. THAT MEANS that every christmas present i intended to have finished/bought/whatever before christmas...IS DONE!!! woot! i'm on schedule for my planned procrastination! i'm still kindof in a panic about the english exam that's TOMORROW! my brain isn't programmed to actually be able to think on the weekends. what kind of cruel, sick person came up with this schedule?!? it's insane! calculus and us on monday. i'm fucked. there is NO WAY i'm going to be able to do that. entirely too many things happened in us history to make us be responsible for knowing them, and we don't have a calculus teacher! that's SO not fair! instead of reviewing, i had to force a conversation with sarah craig today! that was painful, and not helpful. ugh. exams stress is very bad.

i'm such a horrible excuse for a human being. i'm horrible! i'm the most insensitive and stupid person! i'm disgusted with myself. if i were someone else i would kick my ass.
it's pretty much common knowledge that i hate christmas, and i hate family, so why not do lots of family christmas activities! i would LOVE to go over to my grandmother's house tomorrow morning at 8:30 so that she can make me feel like shit! that is my idea of a perfect saturday. excuse me while i go slit my wrists.
