i no longer have any classes left as a highschool student. closing chapel was today. i left immediately afterwards, and now i'm in chattanooga TN. exciting place. haha, NOT. but anyway, joseph's graduation is tomorrow morning. it hit me today as they were doing that little presentation for dr. burkette...even if we come back to visit, salem will never be the same place ever again. without dr. burkette, ms. beattie, mrs. windsor, and everyone else who's leaving, we'll never get that same environment ever, ever again. i'm really going to miss seeing all of my best friends every single day.

nikki: so when is that interview thing?
me: it's tuesday the sixt--OH MY GOD IT'S TOMORROW!

i didn't put together that since today is monday the 15th that means tuesday the 16th is TOMORROW! i have to have competent answers to stupid trivial annoying questions by TOMORROW and smile and be polite to someone i would be perfectly happy never encountering ever again. gah. so that put a slight damper on today, but other than that, today has fucking rocked. and it still is, as a matter of fact.

ha! my interview is DONE! it went a lot more smoothly than i thought it would. it was pretty fun during the non-interviewing parts. there were five seniors and three alumni so two of us were out on the sofa (outside of the jazzersize room) while other were interviewing. so i got to chat with some fellow seniors i've never met before. worked on my smalltalk skills. they were all really nice. despite what i was afraid of happening. i hope i get the money...

today has been so fucking awesome. i'm in a better mood than i have been in i don't know how long, in spite of school. it's been over a year since i've listened to a new everclear song, and i had completely forgotten how good that makes me feel. but it's really sad that i was seriously considering which was closer: illinois or new jersey because they aren't touring anywhere remotely close to here. i shall now relish this fabulous day. even the weather is awesome. i really hope it thunderstorms tonight.

starbucks with kently = lots and lots of fun! we played 6 games of chess, and each won three. it was pretty amazing actually. i was COMPLETELY off my game at spit, and she won about three times. i only won about three or four rounds. i blame my lack of sleep. we saw lauren from back in the day when it was still bodycheck and sharkes and minnows/marco polo were IT and it was really, really fun. next year, when kently and i are both in college, and really close to each other, we're going to have sooooo much fun. partay.

oh man. i just used some purell hand sanitizer with aloe...the smell makes me want to throw up. my hands smell disgusting! shouldn't hand sanitizer make you feel better about the state of your hands?? ick.

first ever senior outing! and i must say it was a LOT of fun! i sat with a group of people who would otherwise probably not all sit together, and it was soo much fun. in a way, i'm glad the restaurant had to split us up. we were kindof all thrown in together and we just got along really well. kelsey, andrea, edith, kate, sarah bare, lizzy and i all sat at the same table. then a bunch of us went up to maggie moo's and i got my favoritest ever dark chocolate ice cream. yum. i hope we can have another senior outing before graduation. i really, really enjoyed this.

on a completely different note, i have now applied for a few different summer jobs. i really hope i get at least one of them. cash would be nice.

this afternoon i walked out onto the screen porch area to go let the dogs into the den, and i came very, very dangerously close to stepping on a dead mouse. a nasty, wet, gray dead mouse just LYING in the middle of the pathway. that really freaked me out. and at least 3/4 of its tail wasn't there....i don't even want to know.

i finished up my graduation announcements/invitations and i mailed one to Mr and Mrs robert ferguson. not to jenny, to mrs ferguson. that's creeping me out. i know she got married like three years ago, but this is the first time i've ever had to call her anything other than just "jenny" or "my cousin, jenny" and it's like i'm talking about someone else completely unrelated to her. today has been kindof weird.

aaaahhh!! the play is finally over!!! i have time to do things again! strike took a lot longer than i thought it would, but that's ok, because afterwards charlotte, kate, edith, gabby, maebeth, alex and i went out to ishi and it was soo good. i was also really hungry because we didn't get there until around 8:00 and i didn't really have lunch. now i have to write my goddamn as i lay dying paper. which is due tomorrow. i kindof enjoyed the book, but i have nothing more to say about it. and this paper is gonna suck. i have to get at least a C+ so i can exempt the exam. that shouldn't be too difficult.

Things I Have Learned in the Booth:
-imitating people is fun
-kate's bracelet tastes better than edith's bracelet
-just about any bracelet can be turned into a face-piercing
-i know every single song in the play by heart
-it's super-uncomfortable when your butt goes to sleep
-kate likes having her head rubbed, and edith loves rubbing peoples heads
-brooke is not a touchy-feely kind of person
-that we are up in the booth....like cod
-no one in the audience will ever look up into the booth...no matter how hard you wave to them
